Lake Revelstoke and the Columbia River are only minutes away from Glacier House for endless paddling in a gorgeous mountain setting. Enjoy beautiful clean water, little other traffic and frequent sightings of osprey, eagles and sometimes deer, moose and bears. Many large waterfalls plunge right into the lake and river and are welcome stops.
Guided tours and rentals are available daily, BUT DO REQUIRE RESERVATIONS AHEAD OF TIME. Minimum numbers do apply for guided tours.

An exciting introduction to canoeing or kayaking on Lake Revelstoke. If you have never done any paddling, this a great opportunity to learn the basics in a safe and fun manner.

Columbia River - 1 day (6-7 hours)
The Columbia River is one of the longest and most scenic rivers in Western Canada, gently flowing south between the scenic forested Selkirk and Monashee mountains. After an introduction to paddling, we paddle this scenic river, see great waterfalls and enjoy the scenic mountain nature of the Monashee and Selkirk Mountains. Lunch is enjoyed on the river bank and we have ample time to explore the shore lines, hike the beaches and explore some of the magnificent waterfalls. Special Notes: Minimum 4 people. Younger children in parents' canoe only as passenger. A paddling child has to be able to paddle correctly even when the water gets rough with wind and waves. We therefore recommend a minimum age of 16 years.
Lake Revelstoke - 2.5 hour Tour
Located amidst the towering peaks of the Monashee and Selkirk Mountains, this canoe trip is a great introduction to paddling the Canadian Canoe. After detailed instruction, we set out along the shores of this 140 km long lake. We visit a gorgeous waterfall, stop for snacks and a drink on a beach and climb the waterfall in a narrow canyon. A great paddling trip. Trips can also be done in our stable single sea kayaks.

Canoes: Stable 16 and 17 feet canoes include paddles and life jackets and commence from our dock on Lake Revelstoke (3.5 km, 5 min drive). Kayaks: Our stable sea kayaks are fun and offer individual freedom. Paddles and life jackets included. Spray skirts on request. Lunch packages are available.
